Stampede Win Nail-Biter
In a low-scoring tilt between the Lubbock Stampede and the Hartford Matadors, Edgar Minero, who is tied for 10th in the SC in wins with 10, was the difference-maker. The Lubbock right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win in 10 innings. Marc Manis, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 7th save. The win puts the Stampede at 76-56, while the Matadors drop to 65-67.

Hiromichi Sato went 1 for 3 with a hit by pitch for Lubbock. With no one out and the game tied in the top of the tenth inning, Sato had a clutch at-bat. Facing Hartford hurler Marty Capone, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Stampede a 3-2 lead.

"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Stampede manager William Maysonet.
