Stanton Leads Laredo to 4-2 Win
|
Belmont Park was the site of a competitive game between the Quebec Aces and Laredo Ghosts.
The Laredo Ghosts picked up a win at Belmont Park, knocking off the Quebec Aces, 4-2. Starting pitcher Byron Stanton played a key role in the triumph. Ethan Yarbrough converted his 15th save in 18 tries.
Stanton scattered 3 hits over 8 innings for the Ghosts. With the win, Stanton moves to 9-5 on the year with 109 strikeouts.
"Byron had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Laredo manager Josh Miller.
The 5th-place Ghosts have won 4 straight games.
