Lasers Upend Matadors, 7-3
|
The Nashville Lasers trumped the Hartford Matadors, 7-3, at Ballpark of Tacoma. Nashville left fielder Akihide Sera was terrific. He went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The Lasers, at 66-53, have now won 4 straight.
Nashville used the timely hitting of Hunter Long to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Lasers on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Nice to keep our winning streak intact," said Long.
