Tailgators Lose By a Run at Fremont
|
The Fremont Marshalls banked on Steve Oswald and he turned in a masterful performance. The right-hander kept the Chesapeake hitters in check. The final score was 2-1, Marshalls. Fremont has run its win streak to 5 straight.
David Hollick, who leads the SC in hits with 139, took Chesapeake hurler Paul Hardin deep in the bottom of the sixth. His solo home run put the Marshalls on top, 2-1. In all, Hollick had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
"You score one run, you're not going to win," said Chesapeake skipper Dave York. "You can have three Koufaxes and three Drysdales, you're still not going to win."
