Jason Cox, who is tied for 3rd in the SC in strikeouts with 115, was locked in. The right-hander led the Glendale Muskies to a 5-2 win against the Laredo Ghosts at Field of the Muskies. Cox yielded 1 run over 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 12. His record improves to 9-3. The 'W' lifts Glendale's record to 53-50.

Kevin Prater had a big run-scoring double for the Muskies in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Glendale leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a splitter from Jon Cordova, who is rated as the 74th best prospect by BNN, and swatted a double to right. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Muskies ahead, 2-0.
