Win Lifts Chupacabras to 32-26
Due in large part to third baseman Mike Townsend, the El Paso Chupacabras sunk the Hartford Matadors, 7-5. Townsend went 2-5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Miles Hurlbut picked up the win with 6.2 innings of work. He allowed 5 runs on 8 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 5-3. Luis Najera closed it out for El Paso, earning his 3rd save.

In the top of the 4th, El Paso took the lead on a 2-run single by Adam Wright. At the time, the Chupacabras were trailing 1-0, but Wright's hit with two outs against Hartford pitcher Kory Pullar put them in front, 2-1.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Townsend.

El Paso now has a record of 32-26 with the win.
