Montreal Wins, 3-2, Over Mad Ants

The Montreal Royals faced a tough opponent in Portland pitcher Matt Parsons, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Mad Ants Ballpark by a final score of 3-2. Parsons went 7.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. Frank Yanez was called on to finish, recording his 4th save. Montreal has now won 4 games in a row.
With the bases empty and no one out in the top of the eighth inning, first baseman John Lopez delivered big for the Royals. Montreal was trailing 2-0 when he belted a solo home run.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Portland manager Will Berman.
