The Nashville Lasers, behind a great outing from John Jones, who is tied for 10th in the SC in wins with 4, defeated the Hartford Matadors, 2-1, at Ballpark of Tacoma. The Lasers, at 28-26, lead by one game in their division.

Nashville needed the clutch hitting of Akihide Sera to notch the win. The right fielder hammered a solo home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Lasers on top, 2-1. For the game, Sera had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.

"John is tough to beat when he's hitting his spots," said Nashville manager Kenny McElhaney.
