Ghosts Get Clutch Win Versus Portland
Ghosts Ballpark played host to some high drama.

The Laredo Ghosts found a way to sneak past the Portland Mad Ants, 3-2, in 20 innings. Laredo pitcher Justin Buchanan, for one, had a standout performance. Laredo reliever Joe Iverson picked up the win to move to 2-2. Junior Millner suffered the loss.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 20th inning, when Laredo catcher Fred Pachner, facing Junior Millner, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Ghosts the 3-2 win.

"To become 'battle-tested,'" said Buchanan, "you need to compete in this kind of contest."

Laredo bumps their record to 24-23 with the win.
