Canadiens Win, 7-2, at Glendale
|
The Montreal Canadiens stymied the Glendale Muskies, 7-2, at Field of the Muskies. Chris Stoll had a good day at the plate. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for Montreal. Jeremy Davila claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. His record stands at 2-2. With the win, Montreal has a record of 18-30. Glendale falls to 19-29.
Montreal catcher Richard Adelman contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the eighth. With two down, he hit a cutter to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 14th hit of the season and put the Canadiens ahead, 5-2.
"I thought we played a nice game," Adelman told the Montreal Times. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
