Lasers Score Late, Topple Tailgators, 3-1
|
Nashville Lasers starter Jaden Melrose turned in a top-notch performance against the Chesapeake Tailgators at Tailgators Ballpark. The result was a win for the Lasers, 3-1. With the victory, the Lasers upped their record to 27-16.
Lee Peck, who is tied for 6th in the SC in triples with 2, had a direct impact on the outcome. Peck contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the eighth inning to put Nashville up, 2-1.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Peck said.
