The Hartford Matadors had no problem beating the Montreal Canadiens, 12-3, at Ballpark of Tacoma. Craig Kelley, who is tied for 10th in the SC in bases on balls with 18, led the onslaught. He went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 6 RBI and scoring once for Hartford. Hartford, now 26-12, holds down first place in the Stars Conference West Division.

In the first inning, Kelley had a 3-run home run for Hartford. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Matadors on top, 3-0.

In comments to the Hartford Daily News, Kelley admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
