Glendale center fielder Ray Alleyne had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Alleyne was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2, even as Portland beat the Muskies, 8-6. Kevin Kovach picked up his 5th save of the season. The Mad Ants win now puts them at 17-19.

Portland used a clutch hit from Raul Arreola to get the win. The center fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Mad Ants ahead, 7-6. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a doozy.

"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Arreola.
