Due in large part to shortstop Mike Henschel, the Portland Mad Ants sunk the Hartford Matadors, 7-4. Henschel went 2-4 with 2 home runs. Matt Parsons earned the win to go to 4-2. He allowed 4 runs on 7 hits, with 4 walks and 4 strikeouts in 6 innings of work. The win makes Portland 19-15.

Portland got a big at-bat from Chicago, Illinois native Jonathan McElwain, who in the bottom of the third hit a 2-run double. It was his 7th double of the season and put the Mad Ants ahead, 4-0.

"It's not about individual awards," Henschel told a Portland Herald reporter after the game. "It's about winning championships. That's what we play for."
