El Paso designated hitter David Hollick was instrumental in helping the Chupacabras triumph, 8-6, over the Nashville Lasers. Hollick was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Jesus Fernandez got the win, improving to 2-2. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 6 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 8 and walking 0. With the win, El Paso pushed its record to 18-14.

Preston Otte had a big 2-run triple for the Chupacabras in the bottom of the third inning. With El Paso leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a changeup from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Arturo Pintado and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Chupacabras ahead, 3-0.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Otte.
