Portland turned a fine outing from starter Bobby Villasenor into a victory over the El Paso Chupacabras at Mad Ants Ballpark. The final score was 2-1 in 11 innings. Portland reliever Kevin Kovach picked up the win to move to 1-3. Gabe Calloway suffered the loss. With the win, the Mad Ants have a record of 13-17.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Jerry Blake in the bottom of the 11th. That's when he hit a solo home run off 25-year old right-handed pitcher Gabe Calloway to win it for Portland and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

"This place was rockin'," Blake said.
