The El Paso Chupacabras eked out a 3-2 win versus the Joilet Jesters at Ballpark of Joilet. Nobody did more than pitcher Cameron Outlaw. He was terrific. In 7 innings, Outlaw surrendered 9 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 0. He allowed 2 runs. Miles Hurlbut picked up the save for El Paso, his 2nd of the year.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Robby Penland? The El Paso shortstop had a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Chupacabras on top, 3-1. For the game, Penland had 1 double and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.

"Fun game," said Outlaw, "even when the outcome was in doubt."

With the win, El Paso raised its record to 17-13.
