In a low-scoring contest between the Joilet Jesters and the Chesapeake Tailgators, Mark Herrera, who is tied for 10th in the SC in quality starts with 3, proved to be the difference. The Joilet right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Jesters win. The victory makes Joilet 13-13.

The Jesters got a clutch hit from catcher Alex Clinkenbeard. In the bottom of the 12th, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Jesters.
