The Portland Mad Ants beat the Chesapeake Tailgators, 5-2, at Tailgators Ballpark. Alex Aime, the 17th overall pick in the 2023 draft, starred for Portland. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times. Chesapeake drops to 10-11.

Portland shortstop Jimmy Olivares contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 17th hit of the season and put the Mad Ants ahead, 2-0.
