Fighting Knights Win at Sikeston, 6-3

Niskayuna and Sikeston duked it out and the Fighting Knights came out victorious.
The Niskayuna Fighting Knights handed the Sikeston Shamrocks a 6-3 defeat at Shamrocks Park. First Baseman Kevin Hunt starred for Niskayuna. He was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The winning pitcher was 17-year old right-handed pitcher Juan Zavala. He tossed 80 pitches over 5 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits.
Shortstop Albert Garcia made an impact for Niskayuna, when he swatted a run-scoring triple off Keith Carter in the top of the fourth. For the contest, Garcia went 1 for 4 with a triple.
Niskayuna manager Gabe Ludwigsen called it "a good, solid win."
