Fighting Knights Score Late to Upend Panthers, 7-5
The Niskayuna Fighting Knights topped the Wichita Panthers, 7-5, at Fighting Knights Field. Niskayuna second baseman Alex Marquez was a spark plug for the offense. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2. Niskayuna reliever Alex Ruiz picked up the win to move to 6-6. Chris Brown suffered the loss. Wichita now owns a losing streak of 7 games.

Niskayuna took a 7-5 lead on Mike Beauford's 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Beauford hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Wichita pitcher Chris Brown visibly frustrated.

Beauford told a Niskayuna Gazette reporter that the win made him feel "upbeat about our team."
