Shamrocks Rally Late to Clip Newport News
In a tight contest at Wranglers Stadium, the Sikeston Shamrocks edged the Newport News Wranglers by the score of 5-4. Sikeston left fielder Adam Larson, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. The save went to Paul Ganley, his 16th this season. The Shamrocks improved to a lofty 74-30.

Sikeston used the timely hitting of Ben Hurt to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Shamrocks on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"This was a good win," said Hurt.
