11-5 Triumph Takes Sikeston to 73-30
Sikeston right fielder Bryan Agin contributed significantly to his team's 11-5 win over the Newport News Wranglers. Agin, who leads the SL2 in bases on balls with 72, went 2 for 5 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Shamrocks. The win was credited to Phil Armstrong in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Naohiro Goto took the loss. Sikeston has a record of 73-30, placing them first in the Sub League 2 Central Division.

With Sikeston leading 6-5 in the top of the eighth, Agin hit a slider from Kyoshi Kano for a grand slam home run. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Shamrocks ahead, 10-5.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Agin told the Sikeston Today.
