Air Riders Earn 6-2 Win Against Super Troopers
|
The South Pasadena Air Riders beat the Santa Barbara Super Troopers, 6-2, in 10 innings at Air Riders Ballpark. Korey Lopez, in particular, was impressive. He went 4-4 with 4 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times. The second-place Super Troopers dropped to 71-31.
Matt Peterson played the role of hero for South Pasadena. In the bottom of the tenth, he launched a grand slam home run off Steve Albrecht to win the game. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was the decisive blow.
"It was terrific getting this win," Lopez said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
