Left-hander Henry Drake mesmerized the Sikeston Shamrocks while leading the Savannah Alpines to a 5-0 victory. Roberto Tapia closed it out for Savannah, earning his 4th save. The 51-46 Alpines have won 10 games in a row.

The Alpines benefited from an error in the bottom of the fifth inning. Savannah was leading 1-0 when Rafael Rodriguez hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put Savannah in front, 2-0.

Said losing manager William Antczak: "It's very easy to sit in an ivory tower and critique the pitching, but the bottom line is we need to score runs."
