Savannah designated hitter Sean Welliver had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Welliver went 4 for 5 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once, even as Carson City beat the Alpines, 9-4. The Alpines have now dropped 7 straight.

Jeremy Hauser aided the Carson City cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the third. For the game, the catcher drew 2 walks.
