Led by Jason Murphy, the Mt. Vernon Cyclones defeated the Montgomery Missions, 12-2. Murphy went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 6 runs and scored once for the Cyclones. Tyler Bourassa earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 3 innings. In the bottom of the first, Murphy had a grand slam home run for Mt. Vernon. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Cyclones on top, 4-0.
