Late Rally by Sunrays Secures 6-4 Win
|
Robert Bravo powered the Ontario Sunrays to a win over the Santa Barbara Super Troopers. The final score was 6-4. The Ontario first baseman was phenomenal. He stroked 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. Ontario reliever Jim Unknown snagged the win, upping his record to 1-0. Oscar Villasenor shouldered the loss. The last-place Sunrays improved to 7-24.
Alex Terc drove in one run for Ontario. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, Terc had a clutch at-bat. Facing Santa Barbara hurler Josue Muro, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Sunrays a 5-4 lead.
"There's so many different ways you can win a game," said winning manager Sam Story.
