Mike Gentry, who is tied for 5th in the SL2 in strikeouts with 34, imposed his will on the Wranglers from the get-go. Relying mainly on his fastball, the right-hander spearheaded the 5-1 Montgomery triumph. The winner was Gentry. He threw 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Orlando Gonzalez. The win puts the Missions at 16-15, while the Wranglers drop to 15-16.

Montgomery got a big at-bat from Moultrie, Georgia native Paul Marks, who in the bottom of the second hit a bases-clearing double. It was his 3rd double of the season and put the Missions ahead, 4-0.

"I had everything working," said Gentry.
