The Sikeston Shamrocks did just enough to sneak past the Savannah Alpines, 4-3, at Alpines Stadium. Sikeston pitcher Tom Donnelly, in particular, had a standout performance. Paul Ganley closed it out for his 7th save. The Shamrocks now have a record of 21-10.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Josh Murphy? The 22-year old left fielder Murphy stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put Sikeston up, 4-3. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.

"I like our mindset right now," said Sikeston manager William Antczak.
