Air Riders Slap 3-2 Loss on Savannah
The South Pasadena Air Riders overcame a good performance by Savannah first baseman Mike Fitzgerald to knock off Savannah, 3-2, at Alpines Stadium. Fitzgerald went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times. The winner in relief was Mario Villalobos. He is now 1-0. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.2 innings. The loss drops Savannah to 10-7.

South Pasadena needed the clutch hitting of Steve Anderson to seal the deal. The shortstop swatted a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Air Riders on top, 3-2. For the game, Anderson had 1 home run and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
