Jose Yenores did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Sikeston Shamrocks from being beaten, 5-4, to the Montgomery Missions at Missions Grove. Yenores went 3 for 5 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI. Javier Perez picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Macho Martinez suffered the loss. With the victory, the Missions record stands at 13-23.

Ben Riffe was the walk-off hero for Montgomery. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Missions pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Riffe said.
