Spradling Lifts Wranglers to 15-5 Win
The Newport News Wranglers took on the Spring Park Green Knights at Ballpark of Spring Park.

Matt Spradling was instrumental in his team's 15-5 triumph over the Spring Park Green Knights. The third baseman went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 5 for the Newport News Wranglers. Eduardo Lezcano was the winner. He's now 1-1. The loser was 22-year old left-handed pitcher Jim Unknown.

Spradling got the Wranglers off to a quick start. In the top of the first, with the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run single.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Spradling, "and then get after it again."

The win makes Newport News 21-16.
