The Niskayuna Fighting Knights rode a solid performance from 19-year-old starting pitcher Mike Winchester to a win, beating the Anaheim Music, 5-2, at Fighting Knights Field. Niskayuna reliever Art Cohen was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Josh Van Nice took the loss. The Fighting Knights sport a record of 10-25.

Niskayuna got a knockout punch from Ronald Poole. The shortstop hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Winchester said.
