The Sikeston Shamrocks topped the Savannah Alpines, 5-3, in Sub League 2 action at Alpines Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Sikeston pitcher and Villa Bisonó, Dominican Republic, native Antonio Corona. At 15-19, Sikeston is in 5th place in the Sub League 2 Central Division.

Sikeston used the timely hitting of Steve Benitez to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Shamrocks on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

Sikeston manager William Antczak commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."
