Cyclones Reel-In 9-6 Win Over Music
The Mt. Vernon Cyclones bested the Anaheim Music by a score of 9-6, with third baseman Leo Carballo getting the main credit. On the day, Carballo went 2 for 6 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Cyclones. Reliever Carlos Brenes picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Lorenzo Barrios took the loss. Jeff Reade earned save number 5 this season.

Yoshihito Abe helped out the Mt. Vernon cause in the top of the fifth inning with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. For the game, the catcher drove in one run.

"It's nice to see a lot of guys make contributions," said Cyclones manager Tom Whiting.

Mt. Vernon is 15-16 and Anaheim, with the loss, 19-12.
