Garcia Helps Fighting Knights Beat Cyclones, 10-5
The Niskayuna Fighting Knights topped the Mt. Vernon Cyclones, 10-5, with youngster Albert Garcia playing a key role. Garcia went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 5 for the Fighting Knights in the win. Ricky Flores, the winning pitcher, improved to 1-0. He pitched 7.2 innings, giving up 6 hits and 1 run, while striking out 1 and walking 2. The win puts Niskayuna at 11-9.

In the bottom of the first, Garcia had a 2-run home run for Niskayuna. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Fighting Knights on top, 2-0.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Niskayuna manager Jonathan Anderson.
