Novoa Stellar as Hex Coast to 10-0 Win
The Providence Hex and starting pitcher Davis Novoa stifled the Newport offense en route to a comfortable 10-0 win at Chanticleers Ballpark. With the victory, the Hex upped their record to 63-54.

It was an impressive turn from the legendarily hard-working Novoa, who tallied 7 strikeouts in 8.1 innings while allowing just 6 hits. Novoa, who is tied for 3rd in the SL1 in complete games with 3, goes to 10-10 on the year with 94 strikeouts.

"We can't expect to win," said Newport manager Victor Sepulveda, "with that kind of performance."
