A 4-RBI performance from Milt Sallee helped the Medford Desperados beat the Pikeville Cavalry, 8-7. Medford reliever Jesse Alexander was the winner. His record is now 7-1. Chris Rodriguez took the loss. The Desperados, now 68-25, have won 4 in a row.

Medford used the timely hitting of Jimmy Brewer to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Desperados on top, 7-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Nice to tuck this win away," said Sallee.
