Ottawa center fielder Tony Moctezuma helped his team beat the Newport Unicorns, 4-2. Moctezuma, who is tied for 6th in the SL1 in bases on balls with 58, went 2 for 3 for the Lynx. Josh Few, the winning pitcher, is now 3-2. He went 6.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits, while fanning 7 and walking 3. The Unicorns have now dropped 5 straight.

Mike Stemwedel helped out the Ottawa cause in the top of the third inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the catcher went 1-4 with a hit by pitch.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Stemwedel said after the game.
