At Naturals Grounds, the Providence Hex and Greensboro Naturals were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Naturals second baseman Trent Jenkins left his mark on his team's 4-1 win over the Providence Hex. Jenkins was 2-2 with 2 singles and 2 walks for Greensboro in the contest. Greensboro is 4th in the Sub League 1 East Division with a record of 42-62.
In the top of the seventh, Pete DiBiaso stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Hex were trailing 3-0, but had runners on 2nd and 3rd. That's when David Sanko made a terrific pitch and DiBiaso grounded out. Gone was the dream of a Providence comeback.
