Golden Gophers Come Back Late to Top Hex, 3-2
The Golden Gophers grabbed a win, 3-2, at Ballpark of Providence, overcoming a fine effort from Providence pitcher Kevin Irons. Irons went 5 innings and allowed 2 runs. The Golden Gophers improved their record to 57-18 with the win over Providence.

Little Rock used the timely hitting of Justin Dawson to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Golden Gophers on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Chalk one up for the good guys," said Dawson. "I'm sure our fans enjoyed that win."
