Behind the hitting of Bobby Barnes, the Little Rock Golden Gophers defeated the Santa Ana Black Aces, 5-3. Barnes went 1-1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Golden Gophers. Jared Martinez notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. His record now sits at 3-1. The Golden Gophers boast a remarkable 50-10 record.

Barnes had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 2-2 changeup from Ryan McEntyre, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Golden Gophers a 5-2 lead. It was the 11th home run of the year for Barnes.
