The Aurora Paints defeated the Julian Jammers, 8-7. Left Fielder David Short deserved a large share of the credit. Short went 4 for 4 with 4 singles and a walk for the Paints. Despite the win, the Paints have a lousy 19-37 record.

Mike Campbell was the walk-off hero for Aurora. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Paints first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"The ending was a real humdinger," Short told reporters after the game.
