Unicorns Solve Jammers, 6-4
|
Newport left fielder Jeff May had a 4-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Julian Jammers, 6-4. Malcolm Robinson was the winner. He's now 1-0. The loser was Marvin Vizoso. The Unicorns, at 21-27, sit in 5th place in the Sub League 1 East Division.
May contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Newport in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 1-0, May took a fastball from Marvin Vizoso and stroked the home run to right-center. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Unicorns to leap in front, 3-1.
"No complaints from me," said Unicorns manager Victor Sepulveda. "I like what I saw out there."
