Schultz Delivers Walk-Off Win for Desperados
The Aurora Paints got a superb performance from left fielder David Short, but the Medford Desperados still won the game, 12-9. Short was 5 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. The Desperados raised their record to 17-7.

The decisive blow was delivered in the bottom of the ninth when Nick Schultz hit a 3-run home run off 20-year old left-handed pitcher Jim Unknown to win the game for Medford. The home crowd went wild.

Schultz told the Medford Herald: "Sometimes the big stage is not big enough for me."
