Cody Ahern, who is tied for 6th in the SL1 with a 1.14 WHIP, was locked in. The right-hander led the Waco Warlocks to a 6-5 win against the Ottawa Lynx at Warlocks Grounds. Quim Perestrelo picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. Antonio Rodriguez was tagged with the loss. Waco sits in third place in the Sub League 1 Central Division at 19-22.

Jared Ferland drew 1 walk in his only trip to the plate for Waco. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, Ferland had a clutch at-bat. Facing Ottawa hurler Antonio Rodriguez, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run to give the Warlocks a 6-5 lead.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Ferland said.
