The Aurora Paints stopped the Ottawa Lynx, 11-9, behind an impressive performance from Geoff Thompson. The 21-year old center fielder made life miserable for Ottawa pitching. He went 3 for 5 with 3 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Willie Garcia snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-1 on the season. Josh Few suffered the loss. The victory makes Aurora 12-25.

Had Constantin Lupu not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Lupu hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 10-9, in favor of the Paints.
