Pedro Quintero exploded for a barrage of base hits at Naturals Grounds.
The Newport left fielder had a field day in his team's 12-10 triumph over the Greensboro Naturals, finishing 5-for-6.
"My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch."
Quintero must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Pedro Quintero singled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 9th.
Posting a .389 batting average to date, Quintero has 2 home runs and 18 RBIs.
