With Late Score, Golden Gophers Beat Desperados
The Little Rock Golden Gophers weathered an outstanding game by Medford first baseman Nate Raphael to topple the Desperados, 8-7. Raphael went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The Golden Gophers have an impressive 27-5 record.

Little Rock got a game-changing hit from Matt Dean. The third baseman blasted a solo home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a winner.

Dean said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."
